Did you check module manager for upgrades? Or perhaps try uploading CGExtensions via ftp or however you upload files?

What kind of files did you upload?
Did you try upgrading to 1.6.4 and re-running the install script, but not having it create tables, just inputting the existing db information?

Pierre is dead on, but will offer another answer as well.
When you login to the admin area, do you see 'global content blocks' in the drop down menu under 'content'?
You can open up the appropriate global content block and edit as you see fit.

I have had that happen as well, and going into config.php and checking the paths usually solves it.

You created a file names '/home/campusac/public_html/people/config.php'?
Create a file named config.php and upload into the same directory as the package files. Then chmod accordingly and continue with the process.
