Can I do this with CMSMS?

Post by kevinritt »

I have a site that I would like to change over to CMSMS. The site has side menus on the left that vary based on the category. For example the side menu here: http://lynnarts.org/index.php?page=aboutus is different than the side menu here: http://lynnarts.org/index.php?page=childrensclasses and so on. Am I able to do this with CMSMS without too much complication? The client also wants do be able to upload images, etc. What html editor would be best for that?
One more thing, can CMSMS be downloaded and used in WAMP?
Thank you

Is my question not clear or is it that no one can answer it?

kevinritt,

Every page within a CMSMS site can be based upon a different template. A template may refer to a different menu styling. As a logical conclusion to your question: yes it is possible to have different side menus.
There is a separate module that allows uploads for the front end. The back end has the upload facilities as well.
WAMP installation is also possible. The following might help: http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/User_Handbook/Installation/Quick_Install/Install_on_Local_Windows_PC.

Yes, possible. Install CMSMS then ask for additional help as you go along.

kevinritt, just looking at the example links, you can undoubtedly do that with cmsms.

As a cmsms user for about 2 and a half years, I can tell you this: it takes just a bit of time to get used to the workings, then you start to see all the possibilities.

As a new user you will have many questions. There are a great number of folks here that will be happy to help you when you need it....just remember to be very specific with your questions, provide as much detail as possible.

If you are a twitter user, consider following, http://www.twitter.com/cmsms, or subscribing to the blog to keep up to date with any core changes.
