Re: Gallery will not install
Try to de-install first through the link in the Modules list. Gallery will delete the database tables. If you only delete the Gallery files, the (wrong) database tables will still exist. It doesn't show up in the Modules list because as soon as I install the system crashes. Can I go into phpMyAdmin...

Tried installing the Gallery module but it crashed the entire system front and back. I get the following error. ERROR 99: Unknown column 'template' in 'field list' I have the gallery installed on another site on the same server on the same CMS version and no problems. Sounds complicated but I had 1....

Re: A new photo album manager : Gallery
Is there a way to re use images in different galleries? I have a client that wants to use the same image but have it appear in different galleries based on keywords i.e. landscape, sunrise Just re-upload the photo in each sub-gallery you want it to appear in. You won't be re-using the image but who...

Re: Need to move CMSMS site to new domain, advice please
well I bit the bullet and it was easier than I thought it would be. I just copied over all my files via ftp and created a database backup with the MySQLDump module. I then created a database over on the new host with their cPanel and linked them back up. Once I got things working as they were I just...

Re: switching hosts and upgrading CMSMS. Advice please.
I have a similar question regarding switching hosts.I am switching hosts because I need to upgrade and my old host didn't support a high enough version of PHP. I am wondering what the best approach is. 1- Should I just install a fresh, latest version of CMSMS (and include all the latest addons) and ...

More info on available Modules
Is there a way to find out more info/help on available Modules before uploading/installing them? I find that the Summary on the module page and the Module list never have enough info. For instance let's look at the CGExtensions module listed at http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/list?letter=C and ...

Re: admin section lost all formatting
If you're stuck with PHP 4, you can't upgrade to CMSMS 1.8 - you can only go up to 1.6.8. Is there another recomended blog module? I went to the other blog modules posted here and they all said to use CGBlog. Regarding the module folder, you may be able to delete the CGBlog folder from File Manager...

admin section lost all formatting
Okay, so I know I'm a dumbass and screwed up :'( I'm running 1.6.4 (yes I know I need to upgrade) PHP 4.4.4 (yes I know I need to upgrade but that's not in my control) I was rushing and overtired and tried to install CGBlog using the Module interface via the XML install file. When I did that it cra...

[solved] style problems with TinyMCE preview (margins and padding)
I figured it out and I didn't have to change my stylesheet. You have to add some style to the plugin. Go to the TinyMCE module panel and pick the Advanced tab. The last settings box "Additions to stylesheet" gives you the option to add styles (go figure :P) here is what I added and it all ...

Re: <p> tags in TinyMCE needs two to just make one paragraph
I also have this problem. :( Designers shouldn't have to change their stylesheets especially if things render properly in all browsers. Is there a way to change the style for how TinyMCE renders the content? I've also noticed there to be padding/margin issues with other elements such as headings whe...

Re: My system hacked? All modules suddenly gone and replaced with new files.
Here is what my host told me It seems your CMS did in fact have a vulnerability. FTP logs show nothing for [removed], but the web access logs suggest that someone managed to upload the mad.php file via a php file in your CMS (hence its user:group of apache:apache). Does that help you much? He also ...

Re: My system hacked? All modules suddenly gone and replaced with new files.
I asked my host to rollback the site and database in hopes that solves my problem. I realize I might be able to just reinstall all of the files and folders in /modules/ but I'm not 100% sure if that is the only thing affected. I thought I would raise this issue here to alert of a possible security f...

My system hacked? All modules suddenly gone and replaced with new files.
For some reason the navigation on my website suddenly disappeared and so have all of the "Modules". I'm not sure when exactly this occurred but I only noticed this a when I logged in to update a page. When I logged into the system I had no WYSIWYG and all modules were gone. Upon closer inv...

Re: permission error and 'not a valid stream resource' ??
I had the same problem and found this thread via search.Dee wrote:.. setting looser permissions on it...
My permissions were set to 644. I set them to 666 and this seems to work.
I really don't know that much (yet) about security though. Will this compromise anything?
Thanks
