[Solved] Not Writing to Config.php?

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] Not Writing to Config.php?

Post by saltcod »

Hi,
i've got config.php up on the server, I have it set to 777, but still, nothing gets written to it.

I get right to the screen that tells me I can now view my site, but when I click on the site I get:

"There is no config.php file or install/index.php please correct one these errors!"

And when I look at my files, it says that config.php is still 0 bytes.

Bizarre?  I get no errors on the way along.

Thanks for any help.

Not quite sure why, but Neither Transmit nor Dreamweaver would permission the file properly. With filezilla, I changed the permission for the ENTIRE cmsms folder to 0777 and that seemed to work fine.

Is there a difference between 777 and 0777 as well maybe??

Hello,

Use the doc, don't loose time with bogus FTP tools.
Have fun with CMSms
