Page Loading and Not Loading issues.

Post by johnomcm »

On my page that I am doing.  The website sometimes loads up and sometimes it does not.

In IE I get an Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage error.
In Firefox I get a blank page.

If I hit F5 a few times it loads up.  Then I go back into it, still comes up blank or the error message.

Website being hosted on Slicehost. CMS Made Simple 1.6.6 "Bonde"

We have another website on CMS Made Simple 1.5.3 "Arecibo"

Is there any settings that I am missing in 1.6.6?

Did you try to increase:

PHP Effective Memory Limit (memory_limit):
64M

Maximum Execution Time (max_execution_time):
60

Perhaps you can pm me a link to your site?

Yes, but did you try to increase this  ;D

Did you install some new modules lately? When started this behavior?

Have you looked at the content of the index.php in the root yet?
Any strange code in there?

Change this in the config.php:

Code: Select all

# If you are experiencing propblems with php memory limit errors, then you may
# want to try enabling and/or adjusting this setting.
# Note: Your server may not allow the application to override memory limits.
$config['php_memory_limit'] = '128M';
Add this into the config.php

Code: Select all

ini_set('max_execution_time', 120);
Hope this helps.

@ panda
Have you tried to increase the PHP Effective Memory Limit (memory_limit) and Maximum Execution Time (max_execution_time)?

Have you checked the php errorlog yet? Is there something to work on...

Or with debug set to true?
