Re: Missing Pages
It appears that there are actually two distinct components to the cms that are not properly combined. On the one hand the directory structure and various files of the cms, and on the other hand it is the MySQL database it uses. I am confused about the interaction between them. Does anyone have any...

Re: Missing Pages
Ok, I did re-install over the existing with the latest version, but nothing got better. The interesting thing I noticed was that the program assumes a new install. During the installation routine, it seems to require new things, fails to explain what it means and what it needs entered in the blanks...

Re: Missing Pages
Yes, it might. But I can't help wondering what it is I'm trying to accomplish. Since I don't have a standard to compare to, I don't thing we can know everything is right until we are able to compare. It is one thing to get the info back into the list, and another to use it, and yet another to know...

Re: Missing Pages
Yes, thank you. I believe it contains the correct information, for all I can tell.
I wish there were a simple test program to check all this out. ("I'll get on that right away" he told himself. Yeah, right!)

Missing Pages
Being something of a newbie with the cms, I attempted to export my old MySQL databases, and just to be safe, I also copied whole directory structures. When I moved to a new host, I attempted to import everything. If I browse my database remotely, I can see the content with all my page titles listed...

Re: Wanted: New comprehensive installation guide.
Great idea, calguy1000. I couldn't agree more.
Personally, I believe the current documentation just needs some editing and reorganization. Particularly, I would suggest the redo of the table of contents and some more details in the instructions.

Definitions
There are always a number of things that newbies have problems with, and one of those is with the use of terms they don't understand. In most situations, the real problem is a lack of clear definitions in simple language. I suggest a section of the documentation, or just of the web site in general,...

Re: Directory Structure
Many thanks, Mark. Everything is just great! And it looks good, too. I must say that I believe that I have tried every single CMS offered on the Fantastico menu, as well as checking out so many others, and CMSMadeSimple is by far the best at the outset. It is also quite easy to install by one's se...

Directory Structure
Thanks for the very promising CMS. I look forward to trying it out. Right now I need a little clarification before I go further in my install procedure. In this case, as in anything having to do with computers, we do need to be precise. What exactly should the directory structure look like once th...
