I will attempt to reload the fck icons and images as well using binary. Maybe it will clear that up without having to uninstall and reinstall.

Thanks for the quick response. cms version 1.0.5 and whatever editor fckeditorx that came with that bundled zip file. I think I figured it out. I used wsftp pro and had the ascII transfer setting on. I changed it to binary and ithe images uploaded correctly now. I hope that I could just uninstall fc...
