Hello all,
I'm new to CMS and really like the work you've done on it. I am having a problem though and I hope someone can help.
I originally loaded CMS in a subdirectory and thought it was the reason for my icon problems but I then deleted all files and did a fresh install to my root directory and am still experiencing icon problems.
I checked the directories for the images and icons and they all there.
In admin I am missing a bunch of them. Some of them show though which something I don't understand.
Also alot of the button icons in the fck editor are blank. If you hover the mouse pointer over where they should be you are able click and the buttons work but there are no pictures or icons attached to them. I have searched your forum but found no direct fix for these 2 problems. Unless I am missing something!
Like I said, I am new so take it easy on me please. I am naive to CMS and have never used anything like this before.
Please help, it is appreciated.
Thanks
I also forgot to mention that some of the icons are distorted as well and can barely make them out.

Re: Blank and x icons
Welcome on CMS made simple forum ... which CMSms and FCKeditor version do you are using?
Btw. you can try to use another editor too - my favourite is TinyMCE module

The icons that aren't shown can also be caused by having the wrong rights on the folders. If you don't have the folders open for others than the user who uploaded CMSMS, the admin-panel; can't show the icons. There are some topics about setting the rights after installing.

Re: Blank and x icons
Thanks for the quick response.
cms version 1.0.5 and whatever editor fckeditorx that came with that bundled zip file.
I think I figured it out.
I used wsftp pro and had the ascII transfer setting on.
I changed it to binary and ithe images uploaded correctly now.
I hope that I could just uninstall fck and reinstall with some fresh files to fix that as well.
My bad.
Keep this quick fix stored somewhere so boneheads like myself don't make the same mistake as I did.
I should have known better.
Thanks again

Re: Blank and x icons
I normally FTP using SMART-mode, so that FTP transfers bin-files binary and asc-files ascii, so no fixed mode on several different files.

Cyber and Ronny,
It's nice to know that the member support here is ready and waiting. I appreciate it.
I will attempt to reload the fck icons and images as well using binary. Maybe it will clear that up without having to uninstall and reinstall.
Thanks again
