Re: products module layout help needed
Ok, cracked it for the most part now: http://scubascene.nickmtech.co.uk/shop For each state, I created two templates, embed and layout. I made the layout templates default. So in the top level state, it shows hierarchy_layout template, with hierarchy code in the left div, and {Products category=&quo...

Re: products module layout help needed
Thanks for the info mww. 1. I've pored over the module's help page a lot, quite useful, but a bit sparse. 2. Done already. 3. Also done. I have pretty urls working on the site. Products has the option, but it has never worked. It gives me the impression it's getting to be a stale module. As it's one...

products module layout help needed
Hi. I've been stumbling around trying to understand the templating of the products module, and wondered if anyone could give me any pointers? What I would like is the following: Shop hosted on one page/url in the website: i.e. website.com/shop. This page will always show the hierarchy list on the le...

Re: products module need fundamentals guide
I have asked questions in a careful and detailed way before, just no answers! Am I wrong, or is there not enough popularity of modules like products to attract good documentation? I'll try and post again...

products module need fundamentals guide
Hi. I'm really struggling with the lack of documentation for the products module. It is hard to get it behaving how I'd like using sporadic forum posts. Is there a good guide anywhere, or should I just give up and go to joomla?

products module (calguy) show child hierarchy contents
Hi. I would like to display the contents of a child hierarchy item. e.g. If I have the Hierarchy: - Racquets - Shoes - Trainers How would I have a page show the content of the Shoes item, as if someone had already clicked on Shoes? Sorry I get a bit lost with all the Products module terminology. I w...

[Solved] Products module attributes drop down not populating
Hi all. Having problems with the default templates of the Products module. They seem rather unfinished, and I was wondering if there were any alternative templates around? My main difficulty at the moment is that the attributes drop downs aren't populating. Here's an example: http://scubascene.nickm...

Which ecommerce module?
Hi all. I'm looking for a good ecommerce module, but there really doesn't seem to be much choice. All I can see are "simple" modules, and often ones that don't seem to be updated regularly. Is there anything, even a paid commercial product, that has some weight? Ideally I'd like to see a d...

Re: Saving pages very slow (30s+)
Thanks. That knocked about 5 seconds off. Now it's taking 25 seconds! So strange that it only seems to be pages with the TinyMCE editor.
I did try and get my host to change some PHP stuff. The memory is now better, but they won't turn off open_basedir. Would this cause problems?
Thanks,
Nick.

Saving pages very slow (30s+)
Hi. I have a pretty new install of CMSMS 1.9.4.2. The site browses fast, but saving changes to pages takes ages, on average 30 seconds. Even if I add a single character to a content block, then click Submit, this delay occurs. It is not all database writes. If I save options in other areas of the ad...

edit stylesheet submit button slow
Hi. When I click Submit after editing a stylesheet, it takes a good 20+ seconds to complete. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Nick.
