The issue turned out to be my file paths in my config.php file. I got those corrected and the site came up.

The issue turned out to be my file paths in my config.php file. I got those corrected and the site came up.

I tried recopying all of my files and still no go.

I am having this same error. I was getting an error like this on my home page, but I did reset file permissions now I get the same error you get below, but on the admin page.

news_url was added in 1.9.x series i think so you might missed something. Navigation Pane - Stylesheet - Template
I have a left navigation pane on my website. There are categories like Mangement, Corporate Restructuring, etc... I deleted all the directories in the site directory and then copied the ones from the CMS1.9.4.1. I restored folders individually to ensure that I did not get any legacy stuff and that fixed this issue.
