[Solved] No Search Box to type In

Post by xroads »

Prior to upgrading, I used to have a search bar I could type into on the top of all the pages in my site. Since upgradign the search button is there, but there is not text box to type in.

Thanks in advance.

You probably upgraded from a really-old version... You might want to try to restore-the-default-template, on the search.

In Extension -> Search -> Search template

I restored to defaults and that did not resolve the issue.

Do I call to the search function differently after restoring it to defaults?

I would look in the page source view to see if it has the correct calls to the search functions, if it does then it may be the CSS that is hiding it, a link would help...

I deleted all the directories in the site directory and then copied the ones from the CMS1.9.4.1. I restored folders individually to ensure that I did not get any legacy stuff and that fixed this issue.
