Re: quota limit exceeded needs some alternative feedback

Yes, now I know how to solve, I just didn't know from the total blank page, that my page got hacked, a php system is down, or what did happen. It was a hard time, till I realized that nobody hacked into my site, just a quota is exceeded. That's why I suggested some alternative text message to the fr...

quota limit exceeded needs some alternative feedback

I don't know what, but I have been using cmsms for more than 2 years on a site, and last week I upgraded to 1.5.3 (i have been upgraded before many times), and it was working for a week perfectly, but now, the site become broken, with no possible login to the admin area and only a blank white page i...

Re: need help with UTF-8 migration

My problem is not with the old data in the database, for that I could use a search and replace on the mysql dump. My problem is that if I create a new page, and I try to enter ő Ő ű Ű in the editor when I save it it goes to ? ? ? ? On the fresh new installation I could enter any character in the edi...

Re: need help with UTF-8 migration

I am on a Debian host.
My problem is the following:

UTF-8 works on a brand new clean CMSMS installation.
UTF-8 doesn't work on my upgraded installation, on the same host.

I tried everything but I don't know how could I get the same settings as a fresh new CMSMS installation.

need help with UTF-8 migration

I have finally finished my long time upgrading process of 0.11.2 -> 1.2.5 -> and finally 1.4.1, but I still cannot let it work in the default UTF-8 mode, because all the special characters go crazy. At the moment, I am using the following settings which works, but I would really like to use UTF-8 in...

Re: images and styling for each element in menumanager

Thank you for your answer!

Luckily I got a one line solution from Calguy in the other thread, which perfectly solved all my problems!

Re: modifying menumanager not to encode HTML entities

Thank you Calguy!

I didn't think it could be as easy as this!

Now I have a 100% identical code to my older version, but have the ability to upgrade from 1.2.5 to 1.4.1!

modifying menumanager not to encode HTML entities

I am trying to implement highlighted styling for specific menu items, described in that thread: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,26812.0.html I think since its not really a design question I might get better response here. What do you think its easier to let menumanager not convert HTM...

Re: images and styling for each element in menumanager

Any idea on that? What do you suggest, modify the menumanager code not to convert HTML entities into encoded characters, or is there some smarter way to do that?

Nobody else wanted to have highlighted menu items for specific pages?

images and styling for each element in menumanager

In our menu, we have strong styling and HTML code embedded, and thats why we use bulletmenu tag, (yes, thats the ancient {bulletmenu} tag). For explanation, have a look at our site: http://kek.org.hu/ Its a hack, but it works perfectly. We simply put and and other html tag INTO the menu text. Bullet...

How to force non-UTF8 encoding for the site?

I use 1.2.5 and it always defaults to UTF8, when viewing the site. $config['default_encoding'] = 'windows-1250'; doesn't seem to make any difference on the other hand, $config['admin_encoding'] = 'windows-1250'; works just like it should, automatically changing the encoding setting in firefox,  typi...

Re: unable to fix IE6 related issue

Oh, I didn't notice I posted it here, I wanted to post it in the layout section. Could you move that thread please? I know that it's really outdated! I was saying it to the organization behind the site every time. It's not easy though because they need to change ISP to install the newer version. Wha...

unable to fix IE6 related issue

There is a site using an old version of cmsms, using a default template (moderately modified), where I cannot fix the issue of IE6. The problem is, that in IE6 content of the site appears just under the menu. It's easier to explain if you look at it in Mozilla or Opera and then IE. I did everything,...

Re: A new gallery manager : Album

Gregor, Hint: try Porta, great freeware program (and tick Simpleviewer as default). http://www.stegmann.dk/mikkel/porta/ To all, BTW, I am simply amazed about porta's HTML album's image caching technique. I haven't seen it elsewhere. Is it possible to implement it into Album? It would be the best th...

Re: A new gallery manager : Album

XML can be built using PHP/ASP/Perl scripts, or by desktop softwares (Picasa, iPhoto, Porta), or manually. Maybe you are using the PHP script method.
