What version is no longer vunerable to these hacks?
I have a few installs of the above version.

I replaced TinyMCE with FCK editor and was able to insert images without a problem.

The FCK is a bigger module and runs slower than TinyMCE.

If you can deal with this then give it a try and post back here if it worked for you.
