change defaut template

I would like to use the default template but want to change the color scheme.

I would like to make the template tan, beige, brown colors.

Where are all of the places to edit for a full color scheme change?

Color schemes are set in the "stylesheets", while the templates only define the layout of the page. Each template has one or more stylesheets attached. You've to search a bit to find which element sets a certain color.

You will have to learn about "Cascading Style Sheets" (CSS) that's the official term.
