Plogger photo gallery used on CMSMS website

Post by devilslayer »

Hello All

I have installed the plogger image gallery  as part of the CMS Made Simple website, I host and help with, at http://www.hawleylake.org.uk/

Well it isn't really integrated, but it works ok as part of the website.

Plogger is using its own database and the plogger index.php file and style sheet have just been altered to match in with the rest of the design.

Maybe somebody with a bit of "Code Foo" knowledge may be able to think of a way to integrate this as a module etc.

Hope somebody finds this useful.

Im sorry to ask this but is there a reason why you didnt used the Album Module, already available for CMSMS ? That would be less work then to integrate the plogger one.

Glad you asked Signex. To be honest i did try the Album module but i was having problems with it. Thumbnails weren't showing up and I couldn't seen to get it to work properly.

Might have been because GD Support was disabled in PHP, as i had to get the web host to enable it so that Plogger would work.

Might try the module again to see if i can get it working properly, now i know that GD support is working. That might have been the root of my previous problems with it.

Have you asked your webhost too enable GD ? or other image handling software.

The album module is great and really worth to get it to work right.
