Java Script Popup from menu

Hi,

This is my first post in this forum, and the first time I've used CMSMS, and may I say WOW! I'm blown away with it, so THANK YOU! My question is, I'm using the standard layout, left sidebar + 1 column, and I would like to have one of the menu options to open in a new window which I know is an option, by opening target Blank_, but I was wondering if it was possible to change it so it opened using java script, something along these lines:

(with the other script in the header).

Is this possible?

Any help would be fantasic.
