Global Metadata

When I created my first web site using straight html, it was recommended I include the following to help search engines make sense of my site:



I notice in CMSMS, under Site Admin > Global Settings the following is found under Global Metadata in the default installation:



I presume this is the same thing.  There are obvious similarities, but some differences too. What is the word ‘generator’ used for?  And what is ‘Content-Type’ used for?

Generator shows that you used CMSMS to generate the page, you will see something like this in a lot of pages/sites...

The next line is sort of self explanatory http is equivalent to being content which is text/html using the utf-8 character set...

You can add your other 2 or more meta tags here for all pages and on the page in options, for just that page...
