Will there be a final release or beta3?

It'll be a beta3, and hopefully out by the end of the week.  We're doing some changes to the admin that are holding it up a bit.

Trust me, you'll know when.

(I have the CMSmadesimple RSS feed on(waiting for 'breaking news' ) in Opera but it disapears after a while. None of my other feed does this...)

I'll admit that I took a week or two off from CMS, but WiseQ and sjg have been working pretty hard on the admin side to make it perfect.  The results are stunning, and almost complete.  I finally started working on it again yesterday and made a lot of progress on the News rewrite.

If all goes well, I'm hoping for beta3 this weekend.  If not, then probably early next week.  It sucks that it's been so long between betas, but we're really trying to make this "the one".  If we can go right to 0.10 from beta3, then I'll be happy.  But, I'm guessing we should probably do at least one "release candidate" before we make 0.10, even if it's only out for a couple of days, mostly for people testing upgrading from 0.9.2 and below.

I'm impatient to see the new changes and to have the Spanish translation completely integrated!! Go on with the good work guys

It would be great if someone could give some information at all about a new beta. I do not wish to nag at all I just wondering how it is going with the process. It has been 'this weekend' a couple of times now...Is it going in the right direction??

Remember that it is a beta and it doesn't have to be perfect...

Apologies for not being more communicative. I've been very busy ironing out the last known bugs.

I've checked my last changes into the repository. Wishy has found some minor bugs he'll be squishing tonight.

It looks like Beta 3 will be released tomorrow. I hope it'll be worth the waiting

Well, I have most of the bugs figured out.  However, there is still one with PHPLayers that I'm going to need help on with Intersol first.  Hopefully we can get this ironed out in the morning and have a release.  If not, then I'm gone most of the afternoon and evening tomorrow, so it will probably have to wait until Saturday or last tomorrow night.

If worse comes to worse, I'll revert phplayers back to the older verison and release with that...

Also, language files have not all been updated yet, particularly with the modules.  There could be a few lingering problems with them, and I definatly want them reported somewhere so that we can get the translators on them as quick as possible.

I'm REALLY hoping that we don't need a beta4, but we will if necessary.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Cool guys!! It is worth the wait I am sure! Only the fact that I will save about an hour on every day not checking the cmsmadesimple.org!

Looking forward testing it as hell!!
