Stylesheet does not load properly without www

I had to restore an old CMCMS site from backup after a crash.
CMSMS Version 1.9.4.2 running on CentOS 5.11, PHP 5.3.3, Apache 2.2.3

Now, the site loads fine with url: www.domianname.com, but the stylesheet is not loading for just domainname.com.
I am assuming the

The A record in DNS is pointing to domainname.com, www is a cname.

I hope someone can shed some light on the issue.
