replacing CG-Modules and JQuery Tools

Post by janvl »

Hi,

i am in the process of updating a site to 2.2.18 and no more cg-modules.

I updated to 2.2.18, installed CMSMSExt and SmartExt, after that Khronos.
That all went OK.

Now i still have CGExtentions in the list of modules that i cannot uninstall and JQueryTools that is dependends on CGExtentions.

I already had to recover from a backup after de-installing CGExtentions with an error that in JQueryTools configuration there is a link to CGExtentions,
so the module-manager did not work anymore.

What is the best method to ditch CGExtentions and keep JQueryTools?

I would be gratefull for any hint.

BTW thanks to the devteam for all the work done on 2.2.18

Regards,
Jan

You would need to fork jquerytools then change its dependencies to use CMSMSExt. Personally I haven't bothered looking for a replacement, I just load jQuery normally or use {js_require} in CMSMSExt.
Not getting the answer you need? CMSMS support options

Hi,

DIGI3,

thanks for the hints. I found that JqueryTools is a CG-Module, so after a backup, i removed it completely without problems.
After that i could remove CGExtentions (completely).

Solved.

Now i must remove the rest of the old burden that is no longer used and put the standard template in all pages.
After that i can set myself to a remake of the interface between another scheduling-program and Khronos, a challenge for someone that is not a php-programmer, i will manage that.

Regards,
Jan
