installatio problem 2.x

Post by joostsoo »

I have a problem installing 2.x version on my server.
I can install 1.12.2 fine with only minor php warnings, but when I want to upgrade to 2.2.13 or 2.1.6 I get nothing more that a blank page.
php version is 5.6.40.
I also noticed that that I cannot contact the module server.
I have that on all my installed cms systems.
I hope someone can help me with this
Thanks

there's some troubleshooting steps in the readme for the installer, including debug mode and the option to use the expanded installer. Which of these have you tried, and what were the results?

I was ablke to do an upgrade to the latest version.
Only thing that is not wordking is the connectio to the module server.

It just means you'll have to manually upgrade any modules you want to upgrade. I think it checks once a day and caches the response, so you could check again in a day or two.

Sometimes if your connection to the CMSMS module repository is particularly slow it will never resolve within the timeout. I've only ever seen that be a permanent issue on one host though, and the solution was moving to a better host.
