Preview page with multiple content blocks

Post by Jay7 »

Hi,

I have three content blocks on the home page of my site but using the preview function only displays the first. Is there any way to view all three?

Thanks.

Is there a chance this long standing bug will be fixed before (or after) 2.0 is released? It's still present in 1.2beta2

I find multiple content areas essential for sites that are to be edited by the end-user. Wrapping areas in styled divs prevents the user from accidentally deleting tags and removing styles.

In this setup, the WYSIWYG editor does not display the styled content so the user is reliant upon the Preview pane to see the results of their changes.

It always feels awkward having to explain that they'll only be able to preview the first content area in the page editor and to see other areas they'll need to open the page in a new window, apply changes in the edit page and then refresh. It gives the impression that CMSMS is clunky.   :-[

If fixing this is a major problem, would it be possible for a "Preview in new browser window" button to be added in the page editor? This would at least allow quicker access to a full preview.

Hello,

Then please report it in the 1.2b2 thread : it should help the devteam to keep track of it.
