Upgrate from 1.11.10 to 2.2.10

Post by webinterface »

Hello, everybody,
I would like to know if an upgrade from 1.11.10 to 2.2.10 is possible without problems. Or is it better to move the whole site to a new system 2.2.10?

Hello, it sure is possible! Many CMSMS users have upgraded from that version (and older).

It's a good idea to create a duplicate of your website to test the upgrade (at least make sure you have a backup of files and database).

Third party modules may need some special attention. You can post the system information here so we can see if we expect problems (no guarantee).

You may have issues with the three media player modules, they're all very stale/unsupported and probably won't work in 2.x.

If you're not using them, uninstall them before upgrading. If you are, you may wish to come up with an alternative option first - I usually roll my own media player using the LISE module and custom templates.
