No Modules -- what gives?

Post by laidbackwebsage »

In admin, I go to "Extensions->Modules" and see: nothing.

In the "modules" directory I have the following:
$ ls -l
total 32
drwxr-xr-x 5 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 CMSMailer
drwxr-xr-x 5 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 FCKeditorX
-rw-r--r-- 1 kevin kevin    0 2006-10-31 20:23 index.html
drwxr-xr-x 5 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 MenuManager
drwxr-xr-x 4 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 ModuleManager
drwxr-xr-x 4 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 News
drwxr-xr-x 4 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 nuSOAP
drwxr-xr-x 3 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 Search
drwxr-xr-x 4 kevin kevin 4096 2006-10-20 11:28 ThemeManager

But, none of these are listed.

I searched the forums and the wiki, but came up empty.

Can someone provide an answer or point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

And you checked thru FTP that they are in the Modules folder?

check the module page source for errors.

the way that admin is styled sometimes leaves error messages invisible in the site but it can be seen in the source

Since I was still in the initial stages of using CMS, I simply reinstalled.

Problem solved, although it was the sledge-hammer approach...  ;D

Thanks!
