Upgrade issues - content disappears, replaced with "0"

After 'successfully' updating from 2.1.1 to 2.2.2, editing a page causes some content to disappear and be replaced with "0" in the field.

After further investigation, it looks like this happens with any content block where there's a space in the name:

{content block="Callout 1"}

But there was no problem with this in 2.1.1. Does anyone have a solution for this?

How many pages do you have using this content block?

Unfortunately virtually all of them, and it's not just one content block - there's tons of them... and on a HUGE site, so re-creating content blocks and manually moving content is not an option.
