Fantastic site, well done.
You might want to check the following pages: The Behemoth, PopUps, Posters/Billboards.
The images are not showing up!
Regards.
Mike.
Re: Wide format digital print website...
Thanks Mike,
Will check the images... Not sure what's wrong, I can see them. What browser are you using?
Cheers,
Jen

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Same issue here for those pages (using FireFox).jen wrote: Will check the images... Not sure what's wrong, I can see them. What browser are you using?
When I try to open the image directly (for example http://www.dpi-print.com/images/posterlink1.jpg) I get a message it can't be displayed because it containts errors.
Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hmm, they don't show in IE either... (get those "red cross images", indicating they can't be shown)
Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hmm... This is a bit of a mystery, I see them even when I open the image directly. They're just straightforward JPEGs.
Is there a difference between a JPEG saved on a mac and one on a PC which could prevent them being viewed by PC users??
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jen

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hi Jen.
I'm at work at the moment using IE 6 SP2. I'll check on my home machine which has all the browsers installed.
As for difference between Mac & PC, there shouldn't be an issue as the jpeg format is universal to the web. Perhaps it is something to do with how you code in Mac? I'll check it out when I get home tonight if you haven't already found a solution.
Regards.

Hi Jen.
Looking at your source code you have it seems all your images in the /images/ folder [].
The code is right according to all your other banner and lower graphics, but I was wondering if you placed the images in the /uploads/ folder, which is where CMSMS puts images you upload through its image manager. Is the path from root correct for the images?

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hi Jen.
In Opera 9.02 all looks OK.
In Firefox 1.5.0.7, Netscape 8.1, Mozilla 1.7.12 the images don't show. But in Firefox an image placeholder appears as the page loads, but then dissappears once loaded.
In IE6 and IE7 the 3 images on the page >> posters-billboards don't show and the following images >> behemoth.jpg and popupdiag.jpg are also not showing.
I've looked at your source and the only thing I can see is that the images are contained in tags. It might be your CSS causing the issue, as the .p class in your CSS might be squashing stuff.
Your CSS >>
Just try removing the around those images on the relevant pages and things might be OK.
Regards.

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I've tried removing the tags from this page: http://www.dpi-print.com/index.php/prin ... ion/popups and it seems to have done the trick! Tried it on http://www.dpi-print.com/index.php/prin ... billboards though (these are image links rather than plain images) and it doesn't seem to work...
I'll have a go at moving the images into the image manager rather than ftp-ing them to an images folder tomorrow morning and see if that helps.
Many thanks.
Jen

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Hi Jen.
Glad to, any time. Only sorry I couldn't solve the issue for you.
By the way, I took a look at your home site, very impressive.
The photography is fantastic, make mine look rather poor.
Bless you.
Mike.

Re: Wide format digital print website...
I'd also double check that the .jpg images
ARE rgb AND NOT cmyk format...
because when I go straight to the link I get
The image “http://www.dpi-print.com/images/behemoth.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Which I've had before when a client uploaded cmyk jpg images...
Cheers

Re: Wide format digital print website...
Cheers Robsta! I changed the images from CMYK to RGB and they seem to be loading perfectly.
Many thanks too to Mike for your suggestions - have removed the tags which is a pretty good idea even if they weren't causing this problem. Have used an img class instead to give them the right padding. Thanks for the photography compliment too. Yours ain't bad at all - I like the rural shots.
If anyone else spots any problems - please let me know...
Thanks!
Jen

Good news Jen!
And it's all working fine on the other side of the planet as well!

Looks real nice and clean, like the map...
One thing in the map page, in the source there are 2 one in the normal place and one below the google code at the bottom...
