New Here, Trying to install and use SEOTools2

I feel this isn't much of a support request but I can't seem to find any good documentation on SEOTools2 for use/installation for beginners with CMSMS.

I know little about CMSMS as I'm a marketer primarily working with Wordpress and looking to fix some issues with a clients website in regards to the page titles and meta descriptions.

The current version this website was installed on is 1.11.9 so I'm hoping someone can give me a simple run down or point me to a guide on how to incorporate changing the Page Titles and Meta Descriptions on a page to page basis. I've tried following the instructions in the SEOTools2 module help but I must be doing something wrong.

Hoping there is a simple 5 to 10 step process here that I'm missing when Im editing these template files. Or can I do this on a page by page basis without SEOTools2?

I tried using the original {title} section but that also effects the onpage header tag.
