Module Manager hangs when CMSMS webpage is down

Yesterday the CMS Made Simple webpage was down, and it resulted in the Module Manger to hang. It tried for about 3-5 minutes to load, before it timed out.

In the source it seems like it should timeout after 3 seconds, but it didnt.
