CMS Made Simple installer adds dummy html files everywhere

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

CMS Made Simple installer adds dummy html files everywhere

Post by tristan »

Hi there,

just used the CMS Made Simple 2.1.3 phar installer to upgrade from 2.0.1.1 to 2.1.3. For some reason though it tries to add dummy index.html files in all sub directories als the ones that have nothing to do with CMS Made Simple. Wouldn't it be more logical to have the installer only add these index.html files recursively starting from the default CMS Made Simple dirs:
  • admin
    doc
    lib
    modules
    plugins
    tmp
    uploads
and leave all other directories it finds in the webroot untouched? Lots of hosting setups have the subdomain as a dir in the webroot as well so this might cause a lot of trouble for the subdomains as well.

Was just about to splutter indignantly about what a pain this was but I see it's already been logged as a bug and fixed in SVN.

Good job.

Yup, maybe I should only post on The Forge, seems that the forum would be the first place people look for these things. Bug report was here:
