Hello, is there anyone that detail step by step helps me to create a private area ( with content ) ? Step by step I mean what modules download (type FEU and other necessary ) and their installation history and then the settings ( code to be used on templates ) . The self registration does not interest me because I enter I will uenti . I tried in many ways to install the modules but , for example , in the field [ b ] User Properties [ / b ] of users of Frontend Management what put ? Also login works but if I click on Edit my settings does not happen nulla.Ringrazio advance who gives me a hand . Wjlly greetings . I already posted this help on the Italian forum unanswered .CMS Made Simple ™ Version 2.1.1 " Nicholls Town " installed on Aruba servers with Softaculous .

Just install FEU, all other modules FEU needs is installed automatically.

Standard FEU will only have email and password as user property, so step one, start with adding a user prop called Name and set promp to 'give your name' or something like that.

2. add a group, name it and describe it, assign the user prop you made in step 1 to this group, if you actually don't need a userprop just set it to hidden.

3. add a user to FEU.

4. now add a content page for the login, put wysiwyg off and add the tag (FrontEndUser} on this page.

5. add a protected page and select the group who can see this page. for clarify put it on the menu.

Now if you surf to your login page and login you will see the protected page appear in your menu.
If you go back to your login page, you can sign out or change your settings with the standard feu templates.

This is how it works in short.....
