Need help frontend users

Hello,

I hope that there is some one who can help me. I want to build in a frontend user module so students can login, go to one page and download files. That's all they need to do. It will be a protected download page.

Is there some one who can explain how to do this? make group, 1 genereal username and password, redirect to one single page after login etc.

Hope someone knows! I will upgrade the site to latest 2.x version so i am testing on that right now before i destroy the regular site

In v2.0+ its really easy.

If you have assigned a user to a group in feu then only you have to do is add a protected page and select which group(s) can see that page.

If you have that page added to the menu then it will only show up to the selected group (users) that is logged-in.
