CMSMS site-mobile use- partial 'blackout'

Post by burlington »

Below is a mobile screen dump of a website using CMSMS 1.11.10. (soon to be 2xx!)
Can anyone give me a clue as to why the 'blackout' is happening. Many thanks.

Hi,

I'd start with css validation...

Code: Select all

#content img	{
	border:0px solid /*#e3e3e3*/#fff;
	padding:6px;
	background:#/*f2f2f2*/#fff;
	margin:6px 12px;
}

That site isn't built for mobile viewing, it does the same thing using smaller desktop browsers...

It does though use the 'handheld' stylesheet though I suspect this is now out of date.

I agree that the site does need a re-vamp especially after what has transpired. To reduce the cost of this work, which I would meet anyway, what standard CMSMS template or theme would be recommended please?

Very many thanks for your advice.

FYI, there are 2 sites run by this client, both using the same structure.

Yes that handheld style sheet is way out of date, I would recommend making what you have responsive which shouldn't be that hard, contact me if you need help...
