Newbie question: Using CMSMS on opensourceCMS - getting warning message

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Newbie question: Using CMSMS on opensourceCMS - getting warning message

Post by Dragon17 »

Hallo everyone

I'm pretty new to CMS and CMSMadeSimple, so please forgive me if my question is not clear: I will try to be as succinct as I can.

My background is in HTML websites, and I am just beginning to learn PHP and MySQL.

I have a client who wants a website through which shops can order from a selection of magazines.

I have started to try out CMSMS through opensourceCMS, but I got the following message as soon as I typed in the username and password:

"Warning: install directory still exists. Please remove it completely."

I have no idea what this install directory is or where it is, or how I remove it. Please can someone help.

opensourceCMS runs CMSMS 1.0.1.

Thanks in Advance.

That's just a warning that they didn't remove the install directory.
It is recommended (for security purposes) to delete the folder after install or upgrade.
You can simply ignore the message (you won't be able to delete the folder and it doesn't prevent any functionality).
