Upgrade from 0.12 to 1.0.2? -- please help -- URGENT

I uploaded the new files, when I go to the install/upgrade.php, I get this error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class templateoperations in /home/plannh/public_html/lib/classes/class.template.inc.php on line 109

sounds like some files havent been upgraded.

upload all files again and check that "overwrite files" is on

Would it be safer to upgrape first from 0.12 to 0.13 and then form 0.13 to 1.0.2 ?
