Need help. Complete Redo of Current Website

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Need help. Complete Redo of Current Website

Post by Astoufflet »

How do I completely redo a website. Everything is outdated. This website was redone in 2010, by another person.

How do I go about starting from scratch without having to interrupt the current website.

Where do I begin?

I would be using Adobe Dreamweaver if possible.

The only reason to use DW is for the design of the site, any and all changes to the site including the look/theme are done in the admin side of the CMSMS system found most times at yoursite.com/admin/login.php once in there you go to Content > Pages to change content or Layout > Templates/Stylesheets to change the look/layout of the site...

If you haven't ever seen the default install content you can look at the site linked in my signature which will tell you how CMSMS works...

Thank you.

I need to update almost all of the modules, but because I didn't create the website when I tried to edit things before other things would not work anymore. That is why I wanted to do a completely new website design.

Also, I do want to completely change the layout/look of the website to look more innovative with the time.

Would I download the current HTML and CSS and edit them in a different program?

i am also getting this:

Warning! Please removed the modules/FileManager/postlet directory completely, as this has been obsolete for many, many versions. (Troubleshooting)

It will not let me open any Files in my FileManager. How do I delete the "postlet folder" and where do I find this?
