Hi,
When i submit a form, the submission template is formatted, but the email i receive does not contain any formatting. Please tell me how to format the email template with some html.

Though you're not supplying a lot of information (like the modules you're using, the version of that module, the version of CMSMS, etc. etc.) I'll assume it's FormBuilder.
You can change the (html) template from within the '*Email Results to set Address(es)' field (or other field type you're using to send mail) -> Advanced Settings tab.
It has buttons to generate a sample template.
