Add developper module to Core of CMSms

I would like to suggest the following.

I'm a designer/developer using CMSms. In the past few years I've created a lot of modules for clients.
I've used e.g. ListIt, Listit2 ... Now CMSms is progressing I'm struggling with the fact that these modules are not really or not at all compatible with new CMSms releases.
The newest module is "EasyList" for version 2.0.

Is it possible to add this module (or a similar one) in any way to the Core, so that devellopers can keep creating and do nor have to worry about adapting, reprogramming etc.

I would love to have a module like ListIt2 part of the core too. But, in reality it probably never will be. The core is meant to be lightweight and provide the very basic needs for the majority of users. Also, the time and commitment involved to maintain something like ListIt2 / EasyList wouldn't make it doable for the core developers.
