[Solved] New Installation - jumping from /admin to home page

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] New Installation - jumping from /admin to home page

Post by hgmitchell »

Hi,

I'm new to CMSMS.
I have a test installation on a sub-domain at my host server which is working fine.

CMS Version 1.11.13
CMSMailer 5.2.2
CMSPrinting 1.0.5
FileManager 1.4.5
MenuManager 1.8.6
MicroTiny 1.2.9
ModuleManager 1.5.8
News 2.15
Search 1.7.12
ThemeManager 1.1.8

mysql (mysqli) 5.1.73
Server Software (server_software) apache
Server Operating System (server_os) linux 2.6.32-531.17.1.lve1.2.57.el6.x86_64 on x86_64

This is installed using Softaculous.

I then have a newly-registered domain with the same hosting company and a new installation of CMSMS. A number of actions in /admin cause it to go straight to the home screen.
These include adding pages, adding news, getting system information.
So in http://www.domain.co.uk/admin clicking Submit in Add New Content does not add the content but goes straight to http://www.domain.co.uk/index.php

While trying to sort this out I've had my IP blocked a few times - some sort of re-direct problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm, missing files perhaps? How did you install this instance of CMSMS? Any errors shown in CMSMS admin log? Any PHP errors shown in your host error log?
