News Catagories

Hi

I can't work out how to add new catagories for news items.

the info within the news sections say an option for adding catagories will appear in the admin menu when the news module is installed, but I can't find it anywhere.

Any ideas?

Woops, sorry my mistake.

No, it didn't help as I'm totally blind and can't see the image.

There are five tabs across the top first is Articles second is Categories third is Summary template fourth is Detail template fifth is options.
click on second tab and you get the existing categories, general is default, under the list is Add Category click that and you get a text area, Name:, to type in the name of a new category and the option in a drop down to choose a parent category, default is none, then 2 buttons, submit and cancel, click submit when done to make new category.

unfortunately I was thrown by the fact that they don't show up as links, just ordinary text.

Maybe that's something that needs to be addressed in an update.

You are right, I've never looked at the backend/page source and it shows up as a div...
