News FEU submission does not send notification

I have a problem on an installation of the latest version:

I have a protected content that permits to FEU to submit a news item.
I have specified the mail to notify, but nothing is set (mailer works properly)

ALSO, after the submission the page shown is not the one specified in news preferences (a unformatted version of the protected content is shown instead)
