Can't access File Manger folders after update {SOLVED}

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Can't access File Manger folders after update {SOLVED}

Post by elkman »

{solved} I solved this while awaiting assistance. I removed the old but updated config file and replaced it with the much reduced in size config file created during a brand new install. This solved the problem.

I have just updated 3 sites from 1.11.8 to 1.11.10. Everything appeared to work fine. All modules have been updated, cache cleared before, during, and after update, current .htaccess file used, and server using PHP 5.3, etc.

I can not get any folders under File manager to open from the admin panel. Clicking on a folder to open it results in the page refreshing back to the Admin File Manager page. The folder can't be opened. Any idea what is causing this?

All 3 sites are on three different servers using the exact same settings. The site work perfectly. I just can't open any File Manager folders.

Page folders, etc. work as expected. Haven't found in the forum what this could be.

PS. Enabling Advanced Mode in settings changed nothing. Still couldn't access any folders.

I did a little more digging, and the specific directive causing the problem appears to be root_path. Not sure why that would cause this problem, but as soon as I comment out that one line the File Manager is able to access subdirectories again.
