CGcalender, backend show all entries

Post by thomahawk »

Very strange, there seems to be no option in CGcalender 1.13.3 to just display all entries. There is always a date filter for max. a specific month that can be listed. This does just not feel right. Where can I turn that off so that it just shows all entries?

(I could not even find out how to search for this in the forum, so I don't know if this has been discussed before).

Thanks in advance for any input.

You can't turn it of, it's a recent implemented feature.

To search in the forum: under the CMSMS you should see a grey menu line, one is Search.

Yes, other people have mentioned this too. There was a recent feature request but it has been closed with resolution "Won't Fix":

Please, Paul! Of course I know where the search field is. This is a complex problem, you can not just look for it with some keywords.

Startmees: Too bad!
Who thought someone could create such a limitation and even call it a feature!

A similar “feature” is implemented in the Uploads module, as I discovered recently, and yes, I find this not very intuitive and user friendly either. But calguy1000, the author of this (and many other) module(s) said that UI issues aren’t his top priority right now, so unless you are able to submit a patch you’ll have to live with it for now.

I thought about starting a UI/UX campaign for the CMS and various modules, as it appears that few of the developers are actually very proficient in this respect but unfortunately right now I’m just totally packed. But I’m trying to involve myself as good as I can.

Hello "Byte"
Right, the authors may have other more pressing things to work on. So I decided to hire someone to fix this and hope I can get that fixed version published for everyone.
