News: detailpage attribute & URL

Post by testuser »

Hi,

I found a problem with URL in News module, is there any solution?

I set the URL to "my-news-detail", so full URL is example.com/my-news-detail/. It works.

But when I add a pagedetail attribute into News module call (in homepage) {news detailpage='xy'}, I see my chosen URL and stay in the homepage where I call News.

Can I combine those two things (pagealias and own URL)?

Thanks.

No, the custom url stuff will not work with the detailpage param.

Rolf:
it´s not a solution, each category should have different detail page. When Calguy wrote it isn´t possible, I rewrite template, put there a few conditions... it's not the best solution but for a quite small site I'm working on it works. In the portal of hundreds pages I should find another solution :-)

Thanks.

Hm,

when I use own URLs, I can't use "detailtemplate" parametr? I used that param, but the default detail template is used... :-(
