[SOLVED] style tags and content not saving as gcb

Post by userwords »

Trying to save a global content block including a warped content in <style></style>, not working.

I paste it in html mode. Save it. Then i open it to see the content and everything inside the two style has dissapeared, including the <style></style>.

Ive also tried putting {literal}{/literal} and the style and content inside those still dissapears.

Is this a mistake, something wrong maybe. Or is it really a bug.

You can try it saving some css code encompassed in <style></style>, then save it, and then opening it again to see if the code is still there.

Also if it is a bug, do you know if the content is not saved, or if it is saved but not recovered, so it ends as trash inside the database.

Disable the WYSIWYG in your GCB.

The editor will strip out many elements. That's what it's designed to do.

Actually you have uncovered a missconception for me. As ive always assumpted that activating the html mode before pasting something, was the equivalent to nerf wysiwyg.

Ive reviewed lot of stuff i did like that, and there are no issues in pages, but actually there was something weird in some content block, that, to make it more crazy, was apparently fixed by what i guess is some kind of html parsing cmsms does when serving a page.

So, well, missconception trashed, and wysiwyg deactivated for those.

I appreciate your reply very much.
