Ive accidentally pressed the optimize table option in site maintenance (my panel is not in english, in case this is not exactly the name)
and although ive not seen any changes to my site ive restored data base from a backup as i have no idea what that option does
ive gone then to docs to read about it but found nothing.
Could you give me an idea on what it does, and if it is meant to be used from time to time to keep database in shape, or maybe is something you are only supposed to use after manually editing database and breaking it, to take the basic structure fixed.

Optimize tables essentially 'defragments' the mysql tables.
