News module-fesubmit is deprecated => alternatives? [SOLVED]

Dear forum,

I have noticed that as of CMSMS 1.11.2, the action='fesubmit' of the News module is deprecated.
I am relying on this action to allow Frontend Users to publish News articles on my page (and maybe I am not the only one). At the moment, it is still working fine, but I was wondering whether there now is a different 'official' solution for this or whether there are at least viable alternatives for the CMSMS version XXX which will finally break the feature.
