Making Calendar act like News...

Post by stefwilliams »

Hi,
I've only recently started using CMSMS, and yesterday upgraded to 1.0b6 to try and see if I could figure out the Calendar... and I think I've figured out how it's supposed to work, but am having trouble getting it to do what I want.
As I understand it, any template with a {cms_module module="Calendar"} block will try to put expanded content from a link into the first {content} block it finds on the template...
Is there any way to make it behave like the News template does, so I can tell it to link to detailtemplate="sometemplate.tpl"? Basically I want to be able to put details of upcoming events on the homepage and on the 'Events' page, but when the 'more' link is clicked, I want to display the items in a separate ' empty' template...
Is there any way to do this? Am I missing something obvious?
I've tried putting all the page content inside the actual WYSIWYG editor, but then there are problems with the content being wrapped in a tag (I use XStandard).
Any help much appreciated.

From another thread...

detailpage= parameter is available in the 0.7.6 version.

May have to use CMSMS ver. 1.02...
