Switch from "full" version to "english"

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Switch from "full" version to "english"

Post by darac »

Firstly, I downloaded 1.11.5 "full version", not "english". Since "english" version is much lighter, is it possible to switch to "english" version?

Only difference is that English version is packed only with English language files where full contains all language files, you can either go through all "lang" folders and delete language files manually or you could grab "english" package delete existing files and replace with unpacked English package, but you have to make sure that you do not delete any content or template relevant files that you might need for your site, that would usually be "uploads" folder and any third party Modules or Plugins that you have installed so far, so you have to make sure comparing "modules" and "plugins" folder to.

There is no easy "switch", as you can read above there are some things to account for so i would not rely on a script deleting stuff on it's own :)

If you haven't done much with the site you can delete the files and start over, other wise you would have to go thru admin, modules, etc. and remove all the extra language files...
