Formbuilder validation & submission problem for footer form

When submitting a form, on both returning a validation error or on successful completion, the page refreshes and returns at the top. I'm using the form in the footer so the visitor will be confused as they will miss the response unless they scroll down.

Big problem if they're using a phone as they'll think the message has been sent.

Any ideas on fixing this?

Would using Ajax be a proper solution for you? It prevents the site from refreshing.
