Gallery2 integration question

I've installed the G2Mod module in a CMSMS .13 testbed, and haven't quite gotten it working but am close. My question though is... The Gallery2 module being created for 1.0... Will it be integrated with the page editor at all? The reason I ask is because I currently have a personal blog/website/family photo album site running Geeklog. I don't particularly like Geeklog, especially after using CMSMS for a while, but moving things over to CMSMS would be a royal pain at this point. That said, I need to upgrade my Geeklog and my Gallery, and so it's going to be a royal pain regardless!

One thing I've really been wanting for my blog is the ability to insert an image from my Gallery without having to copy and paste image urls (I have a thumbnail that links to the album usually). It's just a pain! The latest version of Geeklog and its associated Gallery2 modules integrates with the FCKEditor and puts a button in there to insert an image from Gallery2. That's *exactly* what I want. Now is there any type of functionality like that planned for the CMSMS Gallery2 plugin? Looks like either way I'll be doing alot of work to get things moved over to a more updated site, so if CMSMS did what I wanted, I'd be willing to move to that for this site.

I have done all other sites in CMSMS lately, and love love love it! But for this blog, I really want that integration with the editor. And yes, I know about Album and have played with it a bit, but I found it a pain to add lots of photos at once and edit their respective captions - as far as I can tell, you have to click on each photo and edit its properties. Gallery2 gives me a way to edit all the captions at once as I'm uploading, and that's so much faster.
